Be the Reason

Eden Soriano Trinidad

To be an anchor, to be a shield,

to be the reason for healing

to someone’s life

that is slowly drifting away

Unaware, an extravagant folly

not shutting them off and saying, “Go away”

to be a friend when someone is twirling above a storm

to offer a hand when clouds start looming around

when in extreme melancholy

be the reason to drift them away from the gloomy

Let's take our every pain to a new meaning

it's not pain, it's gain of new life

this pain will transform you into a bigger life

you feel desolate and dejected

but you will gain new power

Resign yourself to the Almighty's blessings

which changes filth into a blossoming lotus

O! Weeper, O! Desolator

Do not weep, do not complain

Be blessed with the pain

Gain new meaning and never complain
