فى يوم من الايام حكم أحد الملوك على شخصين بالموت بسبب معارضتهم له ، وقد حدد موعد تنفيذ الحكم بعد شهر من يوم الحكم … وقد كان أحد منهم مستسلما يائساً فقد اخد ركن فى زوايا السجن باكيا حزينا منتظرا يوم الاعدام وتنفيذ الحكم .. أما الاخر فقد كان لماحا ذكيا فقد جلس يفكر فى طريقة او حيلة تنقذه من هذا التنفيذ أو على الأقل يمكنة البقاء على قد الحياه لمده اطول ففى أحدى الايام جلس سارحا متأملا فى السلطان وماذا يحب وماذا يكره ، فتذكر عشقة لحصان عندة حيث كان يمضى معظم الوقت مع هذا الحصان ، فخطرت له فكرة فصرخ للسجان وطلب منه مقابلة الملك لأمر خطير ، فى البدأية رفض السجان وفى النهاية وافق وبلغ الرساله للملك فوافق الملك ظننا منه انه سيقول له عن باقى الاسماء المعارضين له .. فسأله الملك ” ما هو الأمر الخطير ؟ “فأجاب السجين أنه بأستطاعته أن يعلم حصانه الطيران فى خلال سنة ولكن بشرط وهو تأجيل أعدامة لمده سنة … وسرد السجان بعض القصص الخياليه عن السحر وصدقة الملك فوأفق الملك على الشرط حيث تخيل نفسة راكباً على الحصان الوحيد الطائر فى العالم .سمع السجين الاخر بهذا الكلام وأندهش من الذى سمعه وعندما عاد السجين سالة ” أنت تعلم ان الخيل لايطير فكيف تجرأت على طرح هذه الحيله للملك ؟” فقال له السجين أعلم ذلك ولكنى منحت نفسى فرص محتملة الحدوث خلال هذه السنة للحصول على الحرية

أولاً : أن يموت الملك خلال هذه السنة ثانياً : قد يموت الحصان

ثالثاً : أنا أموت وتبقا ميته الحرية أشرف لى من الأعدام

رأبعا : قد أستطيع أن أعلم الحصان الطيران
