Melt Me, Scatter Me, Gather Me

Poem original by Aziz Mountassir  English version by Neide Romani

Melt me in your veins as dawn dissolves,  Soft in eyes where morning’s radiance revolves.

Scatter me like whispers on the breeze,  Drifting through your scent with tender ease.

Gather me as dreams that long remain,

Safe within your soul through joy and pain.

Make me verses carved in endless time,  Flowing in your love’s celestial rhyme.

Own me as a canvas, never fading,

Colors in your hands, my fate cascading.

Pour me as a cup of love untamed, Burning in your grasp, yet still unnamed.

Leave me not like stars in endless weeping, Lost within the night, their sorrow keeping.

You’re the universe where I exist,

My reflection, my surrender, my abyss.

If I break, then bind me with your tune,

Let your melody become my moon.

Rule me with a pulse of longing deep,

In your blood, where love and echoes weep.

You’re the ocean vast, without a shore,

To your waves, I yield forevermore.

Melt me… Scatter me… Gather me whole…

In your love, I burn, yet I am more!
